Accessibility at Trovo
We're working to make Trovo usable for every homeowner and contractor, regardless of ability.
Last updated: April 28, 2026
Trovo is committed to providing a website and platform that's accessible to people of all abilities. We aim to conform to the W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, the global standard for accessible web design.
Need help using Trovo? If anything on this site is hard to use because of a disability, email
hello@trovohome.com or call
+1 (857) 524-2867. We'll get you matched and through the process directly with a real person — accessibility is no reason to be excluded from finding a great contractor.
What we currently do
- Semantic HTML with descriptive headings, labels, and landmarks so screen readers can navigate the site.
- Keyboard navigation works throughout the site and the homeowner / contractor portals, every interactive element is reachable via Tab.
- Sufficient color contrast on text and interactive elements, tested against WCAG AA contrast ratios.
- Resizable text — content reflows when the browser zoom is increased up to 200% without loss of functionality.
- Alt text on meaningful images; decorative images are marked as such for screen readers.
- Form fields have visible labels and clear error messages.
- Reduced motion — animations are subtle and respect the user's prefers-reduced-motion setting.
What we're still improving
We test the site regularly with assistive technologies, but we know there's always more to do. Active areas of work:
- Improving focus visibility on custom interactive elements (calendars, dropdowns).
- Adding ARIA live regions for status updates in the homeowner portal.
- Captioning all videos that go on the site.
- Continuing automated and manual audits before each major release.
Compatible technologies
Trovo is designed to work with:
- The latest two versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge on desktop.
- Safari on iOS and Chrome on Android (latest two versions).
- Common screen readers including NVDA (Windows), JAWS (Windows), and VoiceOver (macOS / iOS).
If you're using a different setup and run into trouble, let us know — we'd rather know than not.
Reporting an accessibility issue
If you encounter content that's not accessible, please tell us so we can fix it. Include:
- The URL where you ran into the issue.
- What you were trying to do.
- The assistive technology, browser, and operating system you were using (if relevant).
Email hello@trovohome.com with the subject "Accessibility report." We aim to acknowledge within 2 business days and resolve high-impact issues within 30 days.
